David Germain-Robin
France
David Germain-Robin has always had a penchant for projects that contribute to building a better world. As a student, he was involved in a project by the NGO ‘Engineers without borders” to provide water to villages in Senegal. After he completed his studies in Aerospace Engineering, David pursued his keen interest in International cooperation and overseas development assistance via the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Humanitarian NGOs in Asia, Middle-East and Africa.
While posted at the French Embassy in Zimbabwe, he developed and supported programs to mitigate human/wildlife conflicts around Trans-Frontier Conservation Areas. He also contributed to the steering of the research platform "Production and Conservation in Partnership" (RP-PCP) which aims to protect wildlife in Southern Africa.
After over 20 years of honing his expertise in the conception and management of development programs as well as institutional donor relations, David joined IFAW as Country Director for France in 2021. He oversees the French Team and manages IFAW France’s operations. David aims to develop the organization’s institutional and corporate partnerships in France.
