Lillian Mulupi
East Africa
Lillian is an ambitious advocate of ocean conservation, leading IFAW’s marine conservation program in East Africa. Working in collaboration with government agencies, county governments, local communities, and other stakeholders, she firmly believes that the blue economy holds the power to address the climate crisis, transform livelihoods, and empower communities along the East African coastline. She enjoys engaging with local fisher communities and educating them on climate-smart fishing practices. Through her role as a marine ecosystem specialist, she hopes to inspire communities to locally own and advance marine governance in Kenya.
