Contributions from a Donor Advised Fund / DAF
What is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible and tax-efficient way to help your favorite charities, including IFAW. Once you establish a DAF, you may recommend grants to IFAW (i.e., “advise” the fund to give us a grant)
Recommending grants to ifaw
We welcome gifts of any amount in support of our mission and thank you for taking this step to help animals and people thrive together.
Gifts of $10,000 or more may be directed to any of our priorities and are a strategic way to leverage your philanthropic assets.
You may use the DAF Direct tool to recommend a grant to IFAW in a safe, secure, and simple way.
“I opened a DAF so I can avoid taxable consequences from selling stocks with large capital gains and still give to my favorite animal rescue organizations. I love the work that IFAW does, and I know that my gifts are saving and protecting animals in need.” - Carolyn in CA
Priorities to help animals now
Gifts up to $10,000 will be used where they will help animals the most right now. A gift of $10,000 or more can be restricted to these transformative campaigns.

Testimonial
"I find that it is incredibly easy to utilize a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) to support charities such as IFAW. It is a wonderful vehicle for utilizing appreciated assets, such as stocks, without having to recognize the capital gains generated by the appreciation. The fund only needs to be set up once and after that donations can be scheduled on a monthly or yearly basis. With a DAF, I no longer have to keep piles of receipts and proofs of payment on all the donations since the DAF sends a year end statement detailing the contributions to the DAF account. I support IFAW because I am passionate about the welfare of wildlife. I like the fact that IFAW has an international footprint and helps animals all around the world. I would like to do what I can for the animals and IFAW helps me in this endeavor."
